A high level delegation from the
‘ Organization of the
Islamic Cooperation - OIC ‘ headed by
the TurkishPresidency on an observation mission to the famine stricken countries in East African region,
paid a working
visit toJubaon the 13th and 14th June 2017.

The OIC delegation composed
ofthe representatives
of the Turkish presidency, OICSecretariatandmember countries
including the Deputy Secretary General in Charge of Humanitarian Affairs
andrepresentatives of the Turkish Kizilay and Saudi Relief Center.

TheDelegation visited the Ministry of Livestock and Fishery and
the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management
and met with the relevant ministers and experts by
focusingon famine related matters and urgent needs of South Sudan. The delegation visited Livestock Laboratory
and the FAO Vaccine Center.

The OIC delegation
received a detailed briefing from the UNWFP – South Sudanand exchanged
viewswith the ambassadors of the OIC member countriesin Juba.

The visiting OIC delegation also received by
the President
H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit.
